Lab Services are available to patients with a requisition completed by a certified medical health professional. Certified Lab Technicians from Dynacare Laboratory & Health Services, Vernon, BC provide this service.

When returning a sample at the clinic, please remember your requisition must be included with sample.

Write the time/date on the highlighted area on the requisition, samples will be returned if null.

Please return Tues 7:30-9:30 or Thurs 9:00-9:30 ONLY!

Urine samples are only good for 12 hours – will be returned if past 12 hours

No samples can be dropped off on Fridays.

Samples must be dopped off to an employee in the building.

For wound dressing changes or other post operation procedures, nursing care is available at the Lumby Health Centre.

How do you access this service?

Make self-referral – if you do not have a family doctor but need help with an ongoing health care procedure you must go to a walk-in clinic and request a doctor referral on your behalf to Interior Health Community Integrated Health Services.

Doctor referral – Your family doctor can contact the Interior Health Community Integrated Health Services and request an appointment to have your health procedure cared for on a regular basis at the Lumby Health Centre.

Foot Care Clinics are provided by licensed Registered Nurses in Foot Care.  Foot Care Clinics:

Visits are by appointment only – please call (250) 547-9741 or stop in at the front desk of the Lumby Health Centre. (No doctor referral is necessary)

Cost: $30.00 and includes all taxes. Service is payable by cash or cheque and is not covered by Medical Services Plan.

Lumby every THIRD Tuesday and Wednesday of each month at Lumby Health Centre between 9:00 am – 3:00 p.m.

Cherryville every FOURTH Tuesday of each month at Cherryville Community Hall between 9:00 – 3:00 p.m.
